In conjunction with the 2022 Pan American Cycling Championships in San Juan, Argentina, Cayman Cycling was represented by our President, Daniel Cummings, at the Annual Congress of the Pan American Cycling Federation (COPACI).
Celebrating it’s 100th anniversary, the congress brought together 27 national federations in the city of San Juan, Argentina, for discussion on cycling topics throughout the region and the presentation of the 2025 agenda.
One of the highlights of the gathering was the presence of head of the International Cycling Union (UCI), David Lappartient. He presented an overview of important cycling considerations across the globe including the vision and logistical concerns for future editions of the World Championships and Olympics, as well as the UCI’s plan for carbon neutrality by 2030.
It was a highly successful event for Cayman Cycling as relationships with many of the larger nations were established, all of which were impressed by Cayman’s passion for cycling and ambition for growth.
