This one-of-a-kind event, presented by the Catalyst Group, featured the largest prize purse in local cycling, with over CI$3,500 in cash and prizes!

With pockets of rain peppering the riders throughout, the pace was high from the second the flags dropped after the 2km neutral start. Cayman Islands National Team athlete Nathaniel Forbes powered away and created a gap to start, which held until about the 30mile mark when it was bridged by his CINT teammate, Victor Magalhaes.
The peloton never saw the two young stars again, and they increased their advantage to almost 4 mins. with 1500m to go, an attack by Victor proved to be decisive. He rolled across the line to take the victory in Cat 1 and the Overall Cayman Cup Championship, with Nathaniel finishing 2nd a few seconds later and Jerome Ameline taking 3rd overall.
